Community Development Manager at Trustmark National Bank in Tyrone, PA

Overview The Community Development Manager is responsible for developing, implementing and administering all aspects of the Birmingham diverse market strategy to promote and enhance Trustmark's market visibility in diverse communities. Responsible to cultivate new partnerships and quality network of relationships. Reports to senior management on the progress and status of the market's lending, community activities/services and community development plans.
Responsibilities:
Work with related entities to educate and promote loan products to low-to-moderate income individuals. Develop sales and outreach strategies to increase loan opportunities within markets. Ongoing assessment of the Bank's products, services and community development activities to meet needs of the community. Establish and maintain a collaborative working relationship with Mortgage Lending and Retail personnel within market. Strategic oversight of community lending functions to include but not limited to Retail Markets and Mortgage Lending. Participate in the development and maintenance of the Bank's diverse market strategic plan for the Birmingham market. Participation in the Bank's related committees to provide status updates. Establish and maintaining relationships with community based, charitable, and non-profit organizations to serve as referral sources for new lending opportunities. Remain current of various regulatory issues regarding lending within diverse markets. Consult with business line leaders to identify risks, best practices and expectations. Qualifications Required Knowledge Extensive knowledge and experience in retail banking, consumer lending and non-profit arena. Working knowledge of compliance and regulatory requirements including financial analysis of loan applicants. Knowledge of CRA and Fair Lending regulations and requirements Required Skills or Abilities Demonstrate leadership and strategic ability to cultivate and drive new partnerships including government sponsored assistance programs. Strong written and verbal communication skills to communicate effectively with diverse groups and individuals. Ability to respond to common inquires or complaints from customers or members of the business community. Strong analytical and investigation skills with attention to details. Ability to evaluate complex problems and draw conclusions. Ability to apply critical thinking to identify unusual issues and exercise judgement. Formal Education Four-year undergraduate degree (preferably in business) AND 5-10 years of work experience in retail banking, consumer lending and no profit arena Master's in business administration preferred OR Minimum of 10-year mortgage lending or retail product experience. Salary Range:
$150K -- $200K
Minimum Qualification
Banking, Loans & InsuranceEstimated Salary: $20 to $28 per hour based on qualifications.
